PayPal Webhook Setup Guide

Follow this step-by-step guide - I'll show you EXACTLY what to click!

This is your production URL (fmg-6ix.com), not the preview URL. Always use this for webhooks!

🚨 "No more than ten webhooks" Error?

You already have 10 webhooks! Here's how to fix:

OPTION 1: Delete Old Webhooks (Recommended)
  1. Go to: PayPal Webhooks Dashboard
  2. You'll see a list of your existing webhooks
  3. Look for old/unused webhooks (ones you don't recognize or from old tests)
  4. Click the trash icon (🗑️) next to each old webhook to delete it
  5. Delete until you have less than 10 webhooks
  6. Then come back here and create the new webhook
OPTION 2: Update Existing Webhook
  1. Check if you already have a webhook for fmg-6ix.com
  2. If you find one, click on it to edit
  3. Update the URL to: https://fmg-6ix.com/functions/paypalWebhook
  4. Make sure PAYMENT.CAPTURE.COMPLETED is selected
  5. Click "Update" or "Save"

💡 TIP: Look for webhooks with URLs that have "preview" or "base44.app" in them - these are likely old test webhooks you can safely delete.

FIRST: Clean Up Old Webhooks

DO THIS FIRST BEFORE CREATING NEW WEBHOOK:

  1. 1.Click button below to open PayPal Webhooks Dashboard
  2. 2.Look at the list of webhooks you have
  3. 3.Delete any old/test webhooks you don't need (especially ones with "preview" or "base44" in the URL)
  4. 4.Make sure you have less than 10 webhooks total

Open PayPal Developer Dashboard

EXACTLY WHAT TO DO:

  1. 1.Click the big blue button below to open PayPal Developer Dashboard
  2. 2.Login with your PayPal account (the one you use for mrflowers1@outlook.com)
  3. 3.On the left sidebar, look for "WEBHOOKS"
  4. 4.Click on "Webhooks" in the sidebar

Click "Create Webhook"

WHAT YOU'LL SEE:

  1. 1.You'll see a page titled "Webhooks"
  2. 2.On the top right, you'll see a blue button that says "Create Webhook"
  3. 3.CLICK THAT BUTTON!

Look for this button:

Paste Your Webhook URL

EXACTLY WHAT TO DO:

  1. 1.You'll see a form with a field labeled "Webhook URL"
  2. 2.Click the green button below to copy your webhook URL again
  3. 3.PASTE IT into the "Webhook URL" field in PayPal

Select Event Type

CRITICAL STEP - READ CAREFULLY!

  1. 1.

    Scroll down in the form until you see "Event types"

    This section lets you choose which events PayPal will notify you about

  2. 2.

    You'll see a checkbox list or dropdown

    Look for the search box or browse the list

  3. 3.

    FIND AND CHECK THIS EVENT:

    PAYMENT.CAPTURE.COMPLETED
  4. 4.

    Put a checkmark ✅ next to it

    This is the event that fires when payment succeeds!

Save Your Webhook!

FINAL STEP:

  1. 1.Scroll to the bottom of the form
  2. 2.You'll see a blue button that says "Save"
  3. 3.CLICK "SAVE"!
